The short version

8 Seconds Hug does not collect any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, share, or sell any personal data of any kind.

How your data is stored

All information — your hug history, streak, language preference, and reminder settings — is stored exclusively on your device using standard local device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.

Analytics and tracking

The app contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or tracking library of any kind. We have no visibility into how you use the app.

Account

No account is required to use 8 Seconds Hug. No email address, name, or identifying information is ever requested.

Deleting your data

You can delete all app data at any time by going to Settings → Clear history within the app, or by uninstalling the app from your device.

Children

8 Seconds Hug is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date.
