Reelatives

Privacy Policy

Reelatives is a Chapiware app for recording and preserving family stories on video. This policy explains how the app handles information.

What Reelatives does not do

• It does not create accounts or public profiles.
• It does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
• It does not send videos, names, photos, or usage data to Chapiware servers.
• It does not sell or share personal data.

Data on your device

Reelatives stores recorded videos, people’s names and relationships, optional profile photos, and the information needed to show the library in the app’s private storage on your iPhone or iPad. Files are protected while the device is locked.

Original videos may be included in your device’s ordinary backup when backups are enabled. Reelatives does not control those backups.

Permissions

Camera and microphone access are used only to record stories when you choose to do so. Photos access is requested only if you choose to save an exported video to your photo library. Reelatives uses an add-only permission and does not need to read your photo library.

Sharing and deletion

A video leaves the device only when you choose to share it with the iOS share sheet or save it to Photos. When you delete a story or a person, Reelatives removes the related internal files and data. Copies you already saved to Photos, shared with other services, or included in an existing backup are not changed.
